Why Installation Matters

The product is only as good
as the installation.

A European window or door is a precision product. Getting it right requires a crew that understands how it was built, how it seals, and how it interacts with your home’s structure. That’s why we never hand off installation to a third party — our team installs every product we sell.

Licensed & insuredFully licensed with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Every job is insured and code compliant.

The Installation Process

What happens from
consultation to completion.

01
Free In-Home Consultation
We visit your home, assess your existing windows and openings, and discuss your goals. We take note of your home type (block or stucco), window sizes, and any structural considerations before recommending anything.
02
Precise Measurement
Custom manufacturing requires exact dimensions. We measure every opening carefully — accounting for your home’s construction type and any variations in the rough opening — before a single product is built.
03
Local Manufacturing
Your windows and doors are built to your exact specifications at our USA facility using precision European UPVC profiles. Every unit is inspected before we schedule delivery and installation.
04
Professional Installation
Our crew handles the full installation — removing old windows, preparing the opening, installing the new product, sealing, and finishing. We follow Arizona’s building codes for your specific home type throughout.
05
Walkthrough & Sign-Off
Before we leave, we walk you through every window and door — how to operate it, how to clean it, what to expect. We clean up the site completely and only consider the job done when you are satisfied.
Arizona Home Types

Block or stucco —
we know both.

Arizona homes are built differently than most of the country. Your home’s construction type directly affects how windows are installed — and getting it wrong can cause water damage, air leaks, and failed inspections. Here’s how we approach each.

Home Type 01
Block Wall Homes

Many Arizona homes — particularly older builds — have concrete block walls. This is the most straightforward installation type. We remove the old aluminum frame completely, prepare the block opening, and install the new window directly into the block with proper sealing for a weather-tight, energy-efficient fit.

Old frame removed completely
New window installed directly into block opening
Fully sealed for weather and energy performance
Home Type 02
Stucco Homes

Stucco homes require a full-frame replacement — not a frame-over-frame shortcut. We remove approximately 6 inches of stucco around the opening, take out the old window entirely, install the new window with a nail fin and proper flashing, and re-stucco the area. This is the only method that protects against water intrusion and meets building code.

Our Standard

We don’t take
shortcuts.

Some contractors offer a quicker method called frame-over-frame (or jump frame) — where the new window goes over the existing aluminum frame rather than replacing it. It avoids stucco work and looks faster on paper. We don’t offer it, and here’s why: leaving the old frame in place reduces your glass area, creates air gaps, and can trap moisture inside your wall. It also prevents our European windows from sealing and performing the way they were designed to. Full-frame replacement is more work. It’s also the only way to do it right.

Maximum glass areaFull removal gives you the largest possible glass opening — not a window squeezed inside an old frame.
No air or moisture gapsOld aluminum frames corrode and gap over time. Removing them eliminates a hidden source of drafts and water damage.
Proper sealing performanceOur European windows are engineered to seal against their own frame — not an old aluminum one underneath.
Code compliantFull-frame installation meets Arizona building codes and passes inspection. Frame-over-frame on stucco homes often does not.
Window Installation in Phoenix, Arizona

Professional Window & Door Installation
Across the Phoenix Metro

Luft Windows provides professional window and door installation for homeowners across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Glendale, and the surrounding East and West Valley communities. As a licensed Arizona contractor, every installation meets state building codes and is performed by our own trained crew — never subcontracted.

Arizona’s mix of block-wall and stucco homes requires installation expertise that most window companies simply don’t have. We specialize in full-frame replacement for both home types, ensuring your new European windows and doors perform exactly as they were designed to — with no air leaks, no moisture intrusion, and no shortcuts.

Whether you’re replacing a single window in Tempe or re-windowing an entire custom home in Scottsdale, our process is the same: precise measurement, local manufacturing, expert installation, and a full walkthrough before we leave.

Do you use subcontractors for installation?
No — every installation is performed by our own trained crew. The same team that manufactures your windows and doors handles the installation. This means no handoffs, no miscommunication, and full accountability from start to finish.
How long does a typical installation take?
Most residential installations are completed in one day, depending on the number of windows and doors. Larger projects or full home re-windows may take two to three days. We provide a schedule estimate at the time of your consultation.
Do I need a permit for window replacement in Arizona?
It depends on your city and the scope of work. As a licensed Arizona contractor, we handle the permit process on your behalf where required and ensure every installation meets local building codes.
What is frame-over-frame installation and why don’t you offer it?
Frame-over-frame (or jump frame) places a new window over the existing aluminum frame rather than removing it. We don’t offer it because it reduces glass area, creates air gaps, and prevents proper sealing. Full-frame replacement is the only method that lets our windows perform as designed.
Does stucco need to be removed for installation?
Yes — for a full-frame installation on a stucco home, we remove approximately 6 inches of stucco around the opening. This is required by Arizona building code and is the only method that ensures a watertight, properly flashed installation. We re-stucco and finish the area as part of the job.
What areas do you serve?
